Pre-Purchase Survey

Purchasing a vessel is a significant investment. Commissioning a Pre-Purchase Survey will help to provide a more complete understanding of a vessel’s condition.

The build of any vessel (hull, internal fit-out & services) is completed and maintained to varying degrees of standard, dependent upon experience and ability. It is important, before purchase, for the condition of any vessel to be fully understood. This will reduce the chance of any hidden & potentially expensive costs, and also enable an ongoing & bespoke maintenance programme, to be planned.

Along with checking the condition of the hull (see ‘Hull Survey’ detail below) the Pre-Purchase Survey includes equipment / services and a general overall assessment of the vessel’s condition.

The Pre-Purchase Survey includes a full Gas Safety Check and assessment against the requirements of the Boat Safety Scheme.

The Pre-Purchase Survey also helps to confirm and expand on craft details, as reported in the sales brochure and / or by the vendor.
